Guidelines for Requesting an Herbicide Active Ingredient for Inclusion in the Mode of Action Classification Maintained by HRAC Global Submission Process

• Company downloads request form from the Global Herbicide Resistance Action Committee (HRAC Global) website.
• Company submits request form and background information on the herbicide active ingredient via email to HRAC Global Chair (info@hracglobal.com)

Required background information:

• Common name
• Chemical structure
• IUPAC name
• Molecular weight
• Chemical family
• General mode of action
• Specific site of action
• Supporting data or published paper documenting mode or site of action
• Proposed HRAC MoA Group

Review Process

• The HRAC Global MoA Classification Working Group assesses the classification request

Approval Process

• If approved:
  • Company receives signed request form from HRAC Global chair
  • Compound is added to:
    • HRAC Global MoA classification master list
    • HRAC Global MoA classification lookup tool
    • Global Resistance Management (GRM) App
    • HRAC Mode of Action Classification Poster (at its next update)
  • The classification is announced on the HRAC Global website

• If not approved:
  • Company receives email requesting additional information
